Manage SKUs

You can add and edit SKUs from the Pricing management app.

Add a new SKU

There are two parts to adding a new SKU. The first is to create the SKU, and the second is to populate it with information.

To add a new SKU:

  1. Open Console.
  2. Open the Pricing management app, and click on the SKU pricing tab.
  3. In the left panel, click Add.
  4. Select a Category, then enter the unique SKU identifier and description displayed to customers in the user experience.
  5. Check the box if you want the SKU to be the default SKU when adding to the BOM.
  6. Complete the rest of the required fields. These vary by SKU.
  7. Click Create.

To populate the SKU with information, follow the steps for editing an existing SKU.

Edit an existing SKU

To set a Supplier price for a SKU:

  1. Open Console.
  2. Open the Pricing management app.
  3. In the left panel, find the SKU and click on it.
  4. In the right panel click on the Pricing tab, click Add in the Supplier Pricing table to add a Supplier's price for a Prime.
  5. In Add New Supplier Price, select a Supplier from the drop down list.
  6. Enter the Supplier's SKU and the price.
  7. Click Save.

To assign a default Supplier to be used for a state:

  1. In the State Suppliers table, click +.
  2. Select the State from the dropdown list.
  3. Assign a Supplier to the State.
  4. Click Save changes.

To specify how a variation quantity is calculated:

  1. Open Console.
  2. Open the Pricing management app.
  3. In the left panel, find the SKU and click on it.
  4. In the right panel click on the Details tab.
  5. In the Quantity field, select whether you want the quantity of the variation to be 'Custom' set per item, or calculated 'Per panel', or restricted to a 'Single' value.
  6. Click Update.

Add a miscellaneous SKU

  1. Open Console.
  2. Open the Pricing management app, and click on the SKU pricing tab.
  3. In the left panel, click Add.
  4. For the Category, select either miscellaneous_hardware or miscellaneous_labour.
  5. Enter the unique SKU identifier and description displayed to Customers in the user experience.
  6. Complete the remaining fields. In addition:
    • To enable Operators to edit the price and description on Tasks, tick Allow operators to edit price and description.
    • To enable Operators to edit the SKU quantities on Tasks, select Custom in the Quantity field.
  7. Click Create.

If your miscellaneous SKUs are used frequently, and they don't have a suitable existing sub-category, we recommend creating a new sub-category.
