Complete Tasks and Forms

To complete Tasks, you need to fill out Forms. For example, for a Site inspection, you'll fill out the Site inspection checklist form.

To make filling out Forms as efficient as possible, the Installer app:

  • automatically saves your progress (while you're connected to the internet)
  • allows for simultaneous editing
  • provides a summary of any missed required questions

Tasks are not visible until the Job is in the Scheduled status.

You can't edit a Form after you've submitted it

Once you submit a Form, you can't edit it through the Installer app. If you need to update the contents of a submitted Form, contact your Prime.

Automatic saving

When you're working on a Form, the app will save your progress automatically while you're connected to the internet. The icon in the top right of the screen will indicate what's happening. You'll see an up arrow (↑) while data is syncing and a tick (✓) when it is synced.

If you lose your internet connection, don't exit the Form

If you lose your connection to the internet, a notification will appear to let you know that you're offline. While you're offline, you can continue working on the Form, and the app will attempt to upload the data once you're reconnected. To minimise the chance of data loss, don't exit the Form before reconnecting to the internet.

Simultaneous editing

To enable your team to complete Tasks more quickly, multiple team members can work on a Form at the same time. This requires all team members to be connected to the internet. Team members also cannot edit the same field simultaneously.

Pre-submission summary

When you reach the Form submission page, you'll be notified if you have missed any required questions. This notification will include links to any questions that you've missed, allowing you to quickly complete them.
