Manage document templates
You can use the Templates Manager app to update documents that are provided to Installers and Customers at specific points in their journey. The relevant document template is utilised based on the class and job type and is managed through Flags in the Class Manager app.
Only UPowr technical support roles have access to the Templates Manager app.
Document Template Types
When creating a document template, you must assign a template type. This defines when the document is generated and provided to the relevant user in the workflow.

Add a document template
To add a new document template:
- Go to Templates Manager app and select Documents tab.
- Click Add document template.
- Select Template type.
- Enter unique Key.
- Upload Docx template.
- Test the document template, adjusting test data as required.
- When ready, select Add.
Manage an existing document template
To update an existing document template, you can upload a docx file:
- Go to Templates Manager app* and select Documents tab.
- Select Edit icon on the relevant template.
- Select Replace docx template and upload new file.
- Test the document template, adjusting test data as required.
- When ready, select Update.
Any changes to a template that is currently in use by a class flag will be reflected in workflows triggered after the update.
Set a document template flag
To utilise a document template in a class, you must set it on the relevant class flag.
- Go to the Class manager app.
- Select the class the document should be applied to.
- Find the relevant document template flag.
- Select Yes to enable flag.
- Select the Key as the flag setting.
- Select Apply.
