Installer app
The UPowr Installer app enables Installers to perform actions to progress Jobs in the UPowr ecosystem. It's compatible with both Apple and Android devices.
From the Platform, you can:
- Assign Jobs to an Installer company.
- Send Job packs to an Installer.
- Provide up-to-date Job information, such as its status.
Similarly, Installers can complete actions from within the Installer app. They can:
- Accept Jobs assigned to their company.
- Schedule Jobs by directly communicating with customers.
- Access Job files.
- Fill out and submit in-field forms when inspecting and commissioning systems.
This seamless interaction between the Platform and the Installer app streamlines workflows and enhances collaboration.
Installer app access manager
The Installer app access manager enables you to:
- View, update, and remove Installer companies from job distribution lists.
- Invite new subcontracted installers to access the Installer App.
- View, update, and remove existing subcontracted Installers with access to the Installer App.
Add a new Installer company
To add a new installer company:
- Go to Console.
- Open the Installer app - Access manager.
- Select Add new company
- Enter Installer company name
- If you are a Principal user; select a Prime to associate the Installer company to
- Select Add company
Remove an existing Installer company
To remove an existing Installer company:
- Go to Console.
- Open the Installer app - Access Manager.
- Select Remove on the relevant Installer company
- Confirm you want to remove the company by selecting Remove
When you remove an Installer company, all related users will lose app access.
To view and restore an Installer company:
- Select View removed companies
- Find the Installer company and click Restore.
Add a new app user
To provide access to a new subcontracted Installer to the Installer app, you must first ensure the associated Installer company has been added. To add the subcontracted Installer to the Installer company:
- Go to Console.
- Open the Installer app - Access manager.
- Find the Installer company and select View.
- Select Invite user.
- Complete the Installer details form.
- Select Invite user.
To update a user's details and role, click Edit.
The subcontracted Installer will automatically receive their unique login link through the provided email address or mobile number. For instructions on downloading and logging into the Installer app, see Access the installer app.
Provide new login link to app user
If a user signs out of the Installer app, they'll need a new login link to access their account.
To send a new login link:
- Go to Console.
- Open the Installer app - Access Manager.
- Find the Installer company and select View.
- Select Send login, or if their access has expired, select Resend.
Remove an existing app user
To remove an existing Installer app user:
- Go to Console.
- Open the Installer app - Access Manager.
- Find the Installer company and select View.
- Find the user and select Remove.
